PUBLIC MEETING WITH NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY
SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY, JUNE 7
 

There will be a public meeting with the Northumberland County Sheriff's Department on Sunday, June 7th, at 2 PM. The meeting will be held in the Northumberland County Courthouse. Only 50 people will be allowed inside the building. Others may stand outside and have signs related to improving policing practices and taking action to end racism.

Edward Correia to Discuss Election Trends

Rappahannock Indivisible—We the People will hold its open meeting on Friday November 22, with Edward Correia, attorney and adjunct professor at American University’s Washington College of Law.

Correia will discuss the results of the 2019 elections in Virginia and their implications for the Commonwealth and its unique role as a progressive southern state. He will also discuss the other 2019 elections around their country and the national political trends heading into the all important elections in November 2020.

 

While teaching at Northeastern University School of Law he was selected the school’s first Urban Law and Public Policy Distinguished Professor. He served the Clinton administration in the White House Counsel’s Office as Special Counsel to the President for Civil Rights.

Correia also has authored two books on God and science and two novels, as well as having had published over 40 articles on legal and policy topics.

The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock, 366 James Wharf Drive in White Stone.
